These terms govern your use of Iris, a product of Lonia AI. By using Iris, you agree to these terms.

1. Service description
Iris is a real-time ASL-English translation application that provides speech-to-text conversion, 3D avatar ASL signing, an ASL dictionary, and conversation management features. Iris is provided as a progressive web application (PWA) accessible at app.iris.lonia.ai.
2. Account and authentication
Iris uses OAuth-based authentication through third-party providers (Google, Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials with these providers. Lonia AI does not store passwords.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Iris for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble Iris
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Use automated systems to access Iris in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
- Misrepresent Iris translations as certified interpretation
4. Subscription terms
Iris offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

- Professional ($24.99/mo) — Advanced features for educators and teams
- Enterprise ($49.99/mo) — Compliance features for organizations
5. Privacy and data
Your use of Iris is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Iris processes data on-device by default and does not collect personal information without your explicit consent.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Iris is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Iris is not a substitute for certified ASL interpretation. Do not rely on Iris for situations where miscommunication could result in harm, such as emergency medical situations or legal proceedings, without also using a certified interpreter.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lonia AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Iris. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the application or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
